Mesa Verde

first family camping trip
to 
MESA VERDE NATIONAL PARK


Day 1



hike to cliff palace




hike to the balcony house



climbed a 32ft ladder that bounced with weight on it
even my mom did it....probably the most scary thing 
she has ever done!!

 miles too



 these villages amazed me. look at the detail they put into building these walls. the rock oh so very carefully shaped into rectangles and then decorative ones along the side. you can tell they took pride in their work.






 do you just love these shoes I pick up at DI just for camping. I hated him wearing them because it made him look so big.



Mommy, I am making dinner for you...

to get out of the balcony house we had to crawl through a 18inx18in tunnel that was 12ft long with a opening in the middle.


 then climb this ladder and then......

up this wall


yes we survived the balcony house!!
especially my mom. we are so proud of you!

um. you're cute. I remember going to mesa verde when I was like 10. I hated those ladders, but these pictures make me want to go back. That's it, I'm talking to Matt about it tonight!

You guys were right by us!! We live about 45 minutes from Mesa Verde. I am glad you had fun!! It is pretty amazing there :)
