Today as a group at work we were talking about wearing green for St. Patty's and I had a memory pop in my head of my Grandpa. This memory is when we lived in AZ and were in Utah visiting my Grandpa on St. Patty's day. It was morning time and my grandpa called down on his intercom (which was SO cool) telling us (me and my brother) that it was time to get up and eat breakfast. Of course as little kids do staying in grandpas HUGE comfy bed we just laid there waiting to see what would happen. When suddenly we heard his foot steps coming down the stairs and he opened the door and said you better get something green on or else I am going to pinch you. I can't remember if I had green on my pjs or not, but I remember asking Grandpa where his green was. And he being grandpa said I have a paint splatter of green right here, pointing to his white almost spot free paint shirt (he and my dad were/are house painters). Then he gave his smile that made his eyes twinkle. Gosh I am grateful for those memories, I miss him so much. I think about him everyday.
I look forward to the days that my kids get to stay at Grandpas house on St. Patty's day.

What a fun memory! It's nice to have those, and now you get to think about your kids having those as well!!!
