Janiel Anne Olsen Averett

1949 ~ 2009
Janiel Anne Olsen Averett, 60, of Springville, Utah passed away on August 12, 2009 after a long struggle with depression.
She was born June 6, 1949 in Payson, Utah, a daughter of Robert C. and LaDene Olsen. She graduated from Payson High School and later earned a degree as a medical assistant.
On November 1, 1968 she married Larry G. Averett in the Manti LDS Temple, after which they settled in Springville, Utah. Here they raised their 3 children; Jason (Zhalore) Averett of Springville, Kelli (Rob) Jones of Mapleton, and Ashlee (Jason) Henrie of Salem.
In spite of her inner struggles, she had a gift and a passion in caring for and nurturing others, whether it be her family, friends, or patients. Janiel possessed a keen intelligence and a quick wit. She enjoyed a good book a hardy laugh, and time spent with family and friends.
We, her, children, wish to express to our father our deepest love and gratitude for his devotion to and care of our mother. We also want to thank her dear friend Darlene Stansfield for her love and friendship.
Janiel is survived by 2 sisters: Peggy (Val) Middleton, Annette (Delbert) Gilley and a brother Tom (Lori) Olsen. Her legacy includes 9 wonderful grandchildren who she loved and adored.

Side note: I used to work with Janiel at CUC and loved her so much. This women seriously new how to make me laugh. We shared the same mind thinking as far as jokes go. She called me MOI after speaking to a pt at the GYN clinic about how there were other "things" you can do on your honeymoon besides the neno-neno. To this day when I speak with the girls at the clinic they call me MOI!! I don't even know if they know my real name, MOI has just stuck! :) Janiel you are going to be missed very much. I love you dearly!! Thank you for always making me feel pretty and always giving me a good laugh!
